How can we help you?

Quickly find answers to the most frequently asked questions about orders, delivery, returns, and the VerySmart Club.

Shop How can I find today's new arrivals?
The collection of the day is always waiting for you on the homepage. For even more inspiration, find all previous collections, from the most recent to the oldest, in the Collections tab of the main menu.
Shop Why do some collections have a video?
Each collection is posted online at 8 p.m. and presented live the next morning at 8 a.m. The video, taken from the day's live stream, is added to the collection as soon as editing is complete.
Sizes & measurements How do I know if a size will fit me?
First, check the "Measurements" tab on the product page and compare the garment's measurements (taken in inches and laid flat) with those of a similar garment that fits you well. Also read the fit information in the description and, if needed, use our models' measurements as an additional reference. For the complete method, check our How to choose the right size guide. If you are still hesitating between two sizes, write to us via the store's online chat by clicking on the small "Need help?" bubble.

Sizes & measurements Why measure a garment instead of measuring myself?
Because a garment and a body are not the same thing. A garment needs ease to be comfortable and fit well, even when it is fitted. We cannot simply double a measurement taken flat and compare it to our body measurements: we would forget all the ease necessary for the garment.

The most reliable method is to compare the inch measurements, taken flat, of the garment you are interested in with those of a similar garment that you like to wear.

In short, we are comparing apples to apples.
Sizes & measurements I'm not sure about the size. What should I do?
Before contacting us, watch our "How to choose the right size" video and measure one or more similar garments that fit you well, laid flat, in inches.

If you are still unsure, contact us via the store's online chat by clicking on the small "Need help?" bubble and providing us with:

the full name of the garment you are interested in;
the exact measurements of your reference garment, in inches and laid flat;
the sizes you are choosing between and what is making you hesitate;
any information that can help us advise you properly: whether you prefer your clothes loose or well-fitted, if you have a particular preference for the fit, etc.

The more information we have, the more accurate we can be. With this information, we will be able to effectively guide you toward the size that matches the fit you are looking for.
Shop How to find a specific brand?
The Brands page in the main menu lists the brands available at VerySmart. You can also use the website's search bar to find a brand or product. Make sure there are no typos or spelling mistakes.
Orders How can I tell if my order was placed successfully?
After your purchase, you will receive an email confirmation. If you do not find it in your inbox, check your spam folder. If it is still not there, contact us via the store’s online chat using the small “Need help?” bubble.

Also take the time to carefully check your order confirmation: the items, the sizes you selected, and your complete shipping address, including the apartment number if applicable. If any information needs to be corrected, please contact us promptly so that we can make the change before shipping. This will help prevent a package from being returned to us and incurring additional shipping fees.
Orders Can I change or cancel an order?
Contact us as soon as possible. If the order has not yet been processed, we will do our best to help you.
Orders Is the payment secure?
Yes. Payment is processed through Shopify Checkout, which protects your payment information. You can also securely save your information in your account.
Shipping How do I track my order?
After your purchase, you will receive two emails:

1. The order confirmation confirms that your purchase has been received.
2. The shipping confirmation is sent when your package is packed and its shipping label has been created. This email will contain your tracking number and a link to track your package on the Canada Post website.

At first, it is normal for no delivery date to be displayed. As soon as Canada Post picks up your package from our workshop and scans it, the tracking information will update and provide an estimated delivery date.

After that, simply keep an eye on the tracking: that is where you can follow the journey of your "marshmallow"!
Shipping How can I find out the shipping costs?
Shipping is free anywhere in Canada on orders of $110 or more. For orders under $110, a $14.95 shipping fee is automatically added. Smartenista Club members: just a reminder! Your discount can sometimes bring your order total below $110. Before finalizing your purchase, check your total: adding a badge, a collar, or another little find might be more cost-effective than paying the shipping fee.
Shipping Can I choose a different delivery or pickup option?
The available options appear at checkout. If you have a special situation, please contact us before finalizing your order.
Returns What is your return policy?
As our clothes are new, offered at a reduced price and in very limited quantities, all sales are final.

To help you make an informed choice before purchasing, each product page includes the exact measurements of the garment in the “Measurements” tab, as well as the measurements of our models to give you additional reference points. Our “How to choose the right size” guide also explains how to compare the measurements with a similar garment that fits you well.

If you are still unsure before ordering, our team can guide you via the store’s online chat: simply click on the small “Need help?” bubble.
Returns What should I do if a garment doesn't fit me?
If an item doesn't suit you, go to the "Return and exchange options" tab on the product page. There you will find the link to the Smartenistas' private resale group, run by the community, where you can offer your item.
The Club What is the difference between Onyx, Opale, and Perle?
Onyx is free and provides access to the Club's basic features.

Opale costs $7.50 per month and offers 5% off your purchases, along with access to webinars, replays and exclusive selections.

Perle costs $15 per month and offers the same benefits as Opale, with 10% off your purchases.

For full details of each plan, visit the Club tab in the main menu.
The Club Is the member discount applied automatically?
Yes. When your Club membership is active and you are logged into your customer account, your member discount is automatically applied to eligible purchases.

Before confirming your order, always make sure that your discount appears in your purchase summary. If you do not see it, do not confirm your order and first check that you are logged into your customer account.

Need help? Click on the small "Need help?" online chat bubble in the store. We can help you before you finalize your purchase.
The Club How do I join the Club?
Go to the Club tab in the main menu and choose the plan that suits you.

Important: use the same email address as your customer account. This links your subscription to your account, preserves your purchase history, and automatically applies your member discount when you are logged in.

The Club subscription must be purchased separately from your clothing and accessories. First, complete the purchase of your subscription, then place your order on the store.

Before confirming your order, check that your member discount is applied. If it is not, do not complete your purchase: make sure you are logged into your customer account first. The discount should then be added automatically.

If you need help, write to us via the store's online chat by clicking on the small "Need help?" bubble.
The Club How can I cancel my membership?
To request the cancellation of your membership, write to us via the store’s live chat by clicking the “Need help?” bubble. Provide the email address associated with your account and your plan (Opale or Perle).

Specify your request: stop the next renewal or, for an annual membership, request early termination with a pro-rated refund. We will confirm the end date and, if applicable, the refund calculation.

Stopping the renewal does not, on its own, result in a refund for the period already paid. For a request for an annual membership refund, see the question below. Your rights under the law remain applicable.
The Club How does the refund of an annual membership work?
Opale and Perle annual memberships may be canceled before their expiration date. The refund is calculated pro rata for the unused days starting from the receipt of your cancellation request, based on the amount actually paid for the current year. The period that has already elapsed is not refunded, subject to your rights provided by law.

When a retention fee is permitted by law, it corresponds to 10% of the value of the unused period, never exceeding $50. Therefore, the smaller of these two amounts always applies, and not their sum. When no retention fee is permitted, none is charged.

Example: if the unused portion is worth $30 before taxes, the maximum retention fee is $3 and the refund is $27 before taxes. Applicable taxes are adjusted accordingly.

To submit your request, use the store chat ("Need help?") and provide the email address associated with your membership. We will confirm the cancellation date and the calculation details.

This policy does not limit any rights or remedies provided by law. If the applicable rules grant you a more favorable refund, they prevail.
The Club Do I need to be logged in before placing a member order?
Always. To ensure your member discount is automatically applied, log in to the customer account linked to your subscription before completing your order.

Always check that your discount appears in your purchase summary. If it does not, do not complete your order; first make sure you are logged in to the correct customer account. The discount should then be applied automatically.

If you need help, contact us via the store’s online chat by clicking the small “Need help?” bubble.
The Club When do the Club's webinars take place?
The Club webinars take place twice a month, on the second and last Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. They are available to Opale and Perle members.

To attend live, log in to your customer account and go to the Club tab in the main menu.

Missed the live broadcast? Opale and Perle members can watch the replays at any time in the Club tab. The webinar chat is only available during the live broadcast: you cannot comment in the chat when watching a replay.

During Exclusivity webinars, the exclusive collection is located below the video.

Tip: if possible, use two screens. This will allow you to browse the collection on one while following the webinar on the other.
Account Do I need a customer account?
A customer account helps you access your orders, information, and member benefits. For the Club, it is important to use the same account linked to your subscription.
Account I'm not very comfortable with technology. Can you help me?
Absolutely! To help us assist you effectively, the more details you provide, the sooner we can find a solution with you.

Always contact us via the store's online chat by clicking the small "Need help?" bubble, and specify:

the device you are using: iPhone, Android phone, iPad, other tablet, laptop, or desktop computer;
if you are using a tablet or phone, whether you are holding it vertically or horizontally;
what you are trying to do: watch a live stream, access a webinar, log in to your account, make a purchase, etc.;
exactly what happens when you try.

If possible, attach a screenshot of what you see. This helps us tremendously understand the problem and guide you step by step.

Practical guide

How to choose the right size?

Sizing can vary greatly from one brand to another. That is why each garment is measured individually and its measurements are provided in the "Measurements" tab of its product page.

Why measure?

Because sizes are not standardized

Every brand can create and use its own size chart. Great for them, a headache for us.
To work around the problem, we measure each garment individually. You can then compare its measurements to those of a similar garment that fits you well and choose your size with much greater confidence.

Explainer video

Watch the method before measuring

Before you start, watch this short video. We’ll show you exactly how to measure a garment so you can compare the right measurements.

Step by step

The simple VerySmart method

Follow these steps in order. Once you know the method, choosing your size online becomes much easier.

Open the MEASUREMENTS tab

On the page of the garment you are interested in, open the “Measurements” tab. There you will find the garment’s exact measurements, taken flat and in inches.

Choose a similar garment

Compare it with a garment that fits you well and has a similar cut. For trousers, make sure to choose the same rise: high-rise with high-rise, low-rise with low-rise.

Lay it flat

Place your garment on a flat surface, fasten the buttons or zipper, and smooth the fabric without stretching it. Then measure it the same way as in our video.

Compare garment with garment

Now compare your measurements with those listed in the “Measurements” tab on the product page. Check each important measurement for the garment you are interested in.

Maintain a margin of comfort

Don’t forget about comfort. Clothing needs a little room to move in. Also consider the cut and fabric: stretchy fabric, a loose fit, or a flowing material will behave differently than non-stretch fabric or a more fitted cut.

Ask us if in doubt

If you are still hesitating between two sizes, contact us before ordering via the store’s online chat by clicking on the small “Need help?” bubble. Send us the product link and the measurements of your reference garment: we will be able to guide you much more accurately.

What to measure?

Every measure counts

Always compare all the garment’s measurements. The widest part of your body will guide your size choice. A little extra room elsewhere can still fit beautifully, and for a special piece you want to wear for a long time, a minor adjustment is always better than sacrificing comfort.

Shoulders

Do not rely solely on the garment's overall dimensions to choose your size. The shoulder measurement also takes into account the upper back, at the level of the shoulder blades. A garment can therefore be oversized through the body while having a regular fit at the shoulders. This is why it is important to compare all the measurements, even when a piece seems to offer plenty of room.

Bust

If you have a full bust, make your bust measurement your primary guide, especially for blouses. Drop-shoulder styles are often more accommodating: they allow you to choose one or even two sizes up to get the necessary room for your bust without the garment looking too big in the shoulders.

Trousers

Always start by comparing the rise. Choose a pair of pants with the same rise as a reference: high-rise pants will not have the same waist measurement as mid-rise or low-rise pants, even if the label indicates the same size. To measure the waist, lay the pants flat and align the front waistband with the back waistband to form a straight line. If you measure the waist while it is still curved, the measurement will be inaccurate.

Knits and stretch fabrics

A knit fabric naturally offers a certain amount of stretch. However, keep in mind that the more fitted the garment is, the closer it will fit the body. For stretch fabrics, the principle is simple: the garment’s measurements should first fit you as they are. Stretch is there to add ease and comfort of movement, not to compensate for a size that is too small.

To be avoided

The mistakes that cause the most hesitation

Do not measure your body to compare

The measurements provided on our product pages are those of the garment itself. A garment needs room to be comfortable: a direct comparison with your body may therefore be misleading.

Do not rely solely on the size indicated on the label

A small, medium, or large can vary considerably from one brand to another. The garment’s measurements are much more useful for making your choice.

Think comfort

It’s not enough for a garment to look good; above all, it must be comfortable. You need to be able to move, sit, and breathe easily. If you are truly between two sizes, it is often best to choose the larger one.
